Ballet/Pointe

• Black leotard, any style (or pink for Pre-Ballet only)
• Pink tights 
• Short, simple, shear dance skirts (no more than 2 layers) MAY be worn. No tutus or fluffy skirts. 
• Ballet - pink leather or canvas ballet slippers with elastic over the instep
  
• Pointe - pink pointe shoes for those who qualify
• ​Hair in a bun​

Tap

• Solid color leotard, cami, tank top, or t-shirt
• Pink tights OR black leggings, capris, or shorts
• Tan tap shoes
• ​Hair in a bun
  

Dresses and jeans are not permitted. They do not allow freedom of movement and are easily torn. Tights are always worn on the legs, even in warm weather, in order to keep muscles warm and loose and to prevent injuries.

Girls should wear pants, shorts, or a skirt over their leotard and tights when coming to and from class. It is highly improper to wear your dance attire on the street.

Dancewear can be purchased at Bee’s Costumes in Westland.

Hip-hop

• Solid color leotard, cami, tank top, or t-shirt. No baggy clothing
• Black leggings, capris, or shorts
• Black hip-hop combat boots or hip-hop sneakers (please ask instructor prior to purchasing)
• ​Hair in a ponytail or bun (off the neck)
  

Lyrical

• Black leotard, any style
• ​Black dance shorts
  
• Pink convertible tights
• "Turners" - lyrical shoe
• Hair in a bun

Jazz

• Solid color leotard, cami, tank top, or t-shirt
• Pink tights OR black leggings, capris, or shorts
• Tan jazz shoes
• ​Hair in a bun
